Secondly, I would like to take this opportunity to explain our vision for starting Rustic Volunteer Abroad program. Rustic is the brainchild of its founder who has been involved in the volunteer abroad business for the last 10 years. During this time, he has worked with more than 2000 volunteers and more than 200 universities, colleges, and schools groups. Working with inspiring college students and humanitarian volunteers has been inspiring yet enjoyable, and exciting learning opportunities. While managing the volunteer abroad program, he extensively traveled many countries (Asia, Africa, and Latin America), met with volunteers working in the field, visited hundreds of host families and hosting projects and exchanged ideas with them.

This experience inspired him to start his own volunteer and travel venture where affordable prices, premium programs, cultural immersions, contributions to deprived communities, and travel and exploration are main features of the program. Accordingly, Rustic Volunteer Program is a result of his own experience, many tested programs and strategies of volunteer abroad program, suggestions/feedback from hundreds of volunteers, local organizations, host families, and local people

While setting up a volunteer and travel abroad organization, we have selected many safe and culturally rich destinations where volunteers can make meaningful contributions, immerse in local culture, and enrich the volunteer abroad experience. In each destination, we have carefully selected projects, host families, travel coordinating staff, and local support staff. We have provided them with extensive training to manage highly professional services with love and respect for all volunteers. We are proud of our coordinators, host families, host projects, and staff as all of them have at least 4 years of working experience with international volunteers. They are very committed to working hard to meet your expectations, deliver professional services, and make your volunteer abroad experience a memorable journey.

We are committed to following our vision and mission of establishing Rustic as the leading volunteer and travel company within the next 5 years. To better realize our vision and offer volunteers an amazing experience, we are adding new features to our program in 2009. Rustic will establish a home base in Nepal, India, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana and Uganda, providing volunteers with comfort of a home away from home.
