What is the cost of an average program?
It is difficult to generalize but, in the case of a 4-week program in Costa Rica for instance, our program costs around $764 including all accommodation, meals, project coordination and program support. This compares with fees between $1060 and $4976 for 4-week programs with other US volunteer organizations.

Does all the money go to the host project?
With some volunteer projects it is well-publicized that a large proportion of the money is eaten up by ‘administrative fees’ and you only discover this afterwards. To maintain honesty and financial transparency, we adopt a model whereby we charge on one-off fee upfront and the rest of the money is paid directly to the host families and projects (through the country coordinator).

Which countries do you run programs in?
With 7 destinations in Asia, 5 destinations in Africa, and 7 destinations in Latin America, we focus on some of the poorest areas of the world that are most in need of assistance; but they are also destinations that young volunteers are passionate about traveling to.
